Nate Leber is a litigator and cryptocurrency lawyer that frequently represents corporations, startup entities and sports and entertainment figures in high-profile matters. Nate has a unique level of experience in trial, having been a key member of four federal court trial teams. Nate has taken and defended numerous expert and fact-witness depositions and has negotiated the resolution of cases and discovery disputes. Nate’s experience includes representation of clients in a variety of complex litigation matters, including MDLs, class actions, complex civil lawsuits and administrative proceedings. He also has experience representing clients in internal investigations. Nate has represented Fortune 500 and global companies in various industries, including chemicals, manufacturing, computer software, insurance, healthcare, education and financial services.
Nate’s representative experience includes serving as external general counsel to a number of companies, including on cryptocurrency projects.
Nate's representative experience also includes his participation on the core defense and trial team for a Fortune 500 global science company in federal multidistrict litigation involving perfluorinated compounds.
Nate has also defended clients in a variety of commercial matters, including serving as lead counsel for an overseas manufacturer of construction equipment in a products liability dispute and working with a team of lawyers representing a global bank in cross-border class actions.
Nate maintains an active pro bono practice, including drafting a clemency petition on behalf of a federal inmate originally given a life sentence for a non-violent offense. President Obama granted the petition and Nate's client was released from federal incarceration.
Nate sits on the board of directors for Linking Employment, Abilities, and Potential, which is a nonprofit agency that works to advance equality for people with disabilities in Northeast Ohio.
